Tesla claims that the new Plaid version of its Model S sedan has the fastest acceleration in the world.

We clocked the Plaid from 0 to 60 mph in 2.4 seconds, breaking the previous record held by the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.

It's even more incredible when you consider that this huge, five-door sedan, which begins at £113,480, isn't a hypercar.
